With the holiday season rapidly approaching, country artists are giving fans the best gift of new Christmas albums and songs. Some are covers of classic Christmas tracks and others are original holiday tunes. Take a look at all of the new country Christmas music that’s arrived in 2021:

1. Mr. Christmas by Brett Eldredge

Country singer Brett Eldredge has released his own Christmas album titled Mr. Christmas. On the 11-song project, Eldredge put his own spin on classics like “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” and more. It features the original title track “Mr. Christmas” which is a festive, jazzy song that evokes a sense of wonder and warmth.

2. Hell of a Holiday by Pistol Annies

After their Interstate Gospel record that was released in 2018, the powerful trio of Pistol Annies made up of Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley, have returned to grace fans with their Christmas album titled Hell of a Holiday. The album features originals like the festive “Snow Globe,” the twangy “Harlan County Coal,” and the title track “Hell of Holiday.

3. Brett Young & Friends Sing The Christmas Classics by Brett Young

Despite releasing a brand new record earlier this year, Big Machine recording artist Brett Young is back with a holiday album filled with covers and duets of everyone’s favorite Christmas tracks. The project features Young singing with fellow country artists Maddie & Tae on “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” as well as Darius Rucker on “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” Other artists featured are Colbie Caillat, Dann Huff, Sam Fischer, Chris Tomlin, and Phil Whickham.

4. “Christmas Cookies” by Lainey Wilson

After recently getting her first No. 1 hit, singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson has released her own version of George Strait’s sugary “Christmas Cookies.” Wilson’s wispy vocals sound extra sweet singing over the steel guitars featured on the flirty holiday anthem.

5. “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” by Lindsay Ell

Canadian singer and guitarist Lindsay Ell has released her own bluesy rendition of the classic song, “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas.” The ending of her version takes hold with an outstanding electric guitar solo.

6. “Cowgirl For Christmas” by Drake Milligan

After releasing his debut EP earlier this year, rising artist Drake Milligan has released his first, original Christmas song. “Cowgirl For Christmas” is a western-influenced, up-tempo holiday jam. Milligan’s deep voice shines as he even adds yodeling reminiscent of older music.

7. “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” by Everette

Country duo Everette has released a brand new version of Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.” Their rendition adds refreshing acoustics and a festive bluesy, twangy feeling to the fun and beloved holiday track. The release precedes the duo going on tour with Sara Evans for her ‘Blue Christmas Tour.’

8. “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “Santa Claus Is Back In Town” by Morgan Wade

Rising country singer-songwriter Morgan Wade has given fans her take on two Christmas classics with unique renditions of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and the Elvis track “Santa Claus Is Back In Town.” Her voice is gritty and rustic adding a country, bluesy twang to the two songs.

9. Songs for Christmas by Tenille Townes

Country artist Tenille Townes has put out a brand new EP just in time for the holiday season. The short, four-song project features two originals, the emotional, nostalgic “Christmas Cards” and the jazz-inspired “One in a Million:” both originals feature writing credits from Townes. It also features covers of “The Christmas Song -Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire” and Willie Nelson’s “Pretty Paper.”

10. “Mary, Did You Know?” by Carly Pearce

Country singer Carly Pearce continues to own 2021 with a stunning cover of the classic track “Mary, Did You Know?” Pearce’s voice radiates power as she adds her well-known, remarkable emotion to the lyrics. The song builds and builds and has an epic ending.

11. “Blue Christmas” by Sam Williams

Rising country artist Sam Williams has followed up his debut album Glasshouse Children with an acoustic, mellow cover of Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas.” The string sounds in this cover paired with Williams’ raspy vocals make for a lovely listening experience.

12. Naughty List by Mitchell Tenpenny

Mitchell Tenpenny has given fans a full 11-song Christmas album with both covers and multiple originals. The album features brand new songs from Tenpenny like “Don’t Hang the Mistletoe,” “Neon Christmas,” “Snow Angels,” a collaboration with Meghan Patrick titled, “I Hope It Snows,” and the title track “Naughty List.” He also puts his own spin on classics like “O Holy Night,” “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” “Joy to the World,” and more.

13. “Home” by Hannah Ellis and Stars Go Dim

Country singer Hannah Ellis has teamed up with Christian pop band Stars Go Dim for the nostalgic Christmas track “Home” that celebrates the feeling of coming home to see your family during the holidays and reminiscing on memories made over the years.

14. “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” by Ian Munsick

Country artist Ian Munsick has put a western twang on the adored Christmas classic about everyone’s favorite holiday character, “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” In Munsick’s version, banjos, fiddles, and mandolins heighten his version with a unique country flavor.

15. “Gone for Christmas” by Amanda Shires feat. The McCrary Sisters

Singer-songwriter Amanda Shires has released a bluesy original holiday-inspired song titled “Gone for Christmas.” Musical quartet The McCrary Sisters provide soulful background vocals that add significant expression to the track.

16. “Christmas All Over The World” by Tim McGraw

Country legend Tim McGraw has put out a feel-good holiday tune titled “Christmas All Over The World” that perfectly captures the togetherness and jolliness of the Christmas spirit.

17. “Hat Made of Mistletoe” by Cody Johnson

Texas country singer Cody Johnson has released a brand new original Christmas song just in time for the holiday season. “Hat Made Of Mistletoe,” written by Trent Willmon and sung by Johnson, is a flirtatious, upbeat song filled with exciting string sounds.

18. “A Winter Wonderland” by Tenille Arts

On the rise country artist Tenille Arts has released a re-mastered version of her original Christmas heartbreak track “A Winter Wonderland.” Arts’ voice is soft and angelic in this slow, swinging holiday song about missing an ex.

19. “Officially Christmas” by Dan + Shay

Powerhouse country duo Dan + Shay has released another original Christmas track titled, “Officially Christmas.” The song is filled with optimism and has all the classic assets of a fun holiday song with sounds of bells and horns paired with happy lyrics that mention snow and Santa.

20. “Stretchy Pants” by Carrie Underwood

Superstar Carrie Underwood has put out her own festive holiday song this year. “Stretchy Pants” is an uptempo song about eating a lot on the holidays making it a funny and endearing track for Christmas time.

21. “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” by Honey County

Country duo Honey County has turned the classic track “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” from Disney’s hit movie Frozen into a soft, country duet just in time for the winter season.

22. “Hometown Christmas” by Jordan Rowe

Rising country singer Jordan Rowe’s Christmas song for 2021 is a nod to the phrase “there ain’t no place like home.” The track has a warm feeling and centers around the special moments spent with loved ones during the holidays.

23. “Whiskey Weather” by Bri Fletcher

Philanthropic country singer Bri Fletcher’s Christmas song is a dreamy, sad girl, country-pop ballad titled “Whiskey Weather.” It has angelic instrumentation and Fletcher’s vocals are filled with emotion.

24. “Snow Angels” by Sam Williams

Even though he already released a cover of Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas,” Williams has now given fans a holiday original, “Snow Angels.” The song is a nostalgic piano ballad that looks back at fleeting memories as he compares them to snow angels.

25. “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” by Julia Cole and Hannah Dasher

Country up-and-comers Julia Cole and Hannah Dasher have teamed up for their twangy rendition of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” Their voices complement each other as they turn the classic Christmas tune into an electric country song filled with joy.

26. “Mary Had A Little Lamb” by Rod + Rose

Curb Records country duo Rod + Rose have released their very first Christmas single titled “Mary Had A Little Lamb” which details the Christmas story. Their voices mesh beautifully in this slow-tempo, beautiful track.

27. “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” by Ben Rector

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Ben Rector has released his own version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It’s a super fun take on the beloved Christmas classic with fun percussion and exciting background vocals and chants.

28. “Hard Candy Christmas” by Caylee Hammack

Capitol Records recording artist Caylee Hammack has released her own version of Dolly Parton’s sad Christmas hit “Hard Candy Christmas” for the annual “Spotify Singles: Holiday Edition” playlist. Hammack’s version is raw and stripped-down; she also produced it herself.

29. “What Christmas Means to Me” by Stephanie Ryann

Country singer-songwriter Stephanie Ryann released her original Christmas track titled “What Christmas Means to Me” written by Ryann with Levi Moore. In the song, she sings about being thankful as she mentions things we all adore about the Christmas season like carolers, presents, and the scent of pine.

30. “Believe” by Cam

Singer-songwriter Cam released a beautiful original Christmas track titled “Believe.” On Instagram, she described the track as one of her favorite songs she’s ever written and shared, “Winter can be cold, the world can feel dark AND there is always room for something wonderful to happen. ‘Believe’ is about letting our grown-up hearts look for the good.”

31. “Christmas In The Sun” by Morgan Evans

Country singer Morgan Evans wrote a song titled, “Christmas In The Sun” about what Christmas time is like in his home country of Australia. Written with Jimmy Robbins and Parker Welling, Evans’ voice sounds cheerful and happy over the upbeat tune.

32. “Winter Wonderland” by Rod + Rose

Rising country duo Rod + Rose is busy this holiday season with an EP in the works along with their second Christmas single of the year. After releasing their original holiday track “Mary Had A Little Lamb,” they’ve now released a cover of the classic song “Winter Wonderland” with a honky-tonk twist.

33. Christmas is Right Here by Lori McKenna

Celebrated singer-songwriter Lori McKenna has released a six-song Christmas EP titled Christmas is Right Here with five originals and one cover. The project is filled with soft acoustic sounds and emotional lyricism that is relatable to holiday time sadness. Her cover of “Wonderful Christmastime” is also a highlight as she turns the once upbeat, energetic song into a stripped-down, singer-songwriter number.

34. “O Holy Night” by Becca Bowen

Country singer Becca Bowen, the self-proclaimed “Country Barbie,” has released her own version of the holiday favorite track, “O Holy Night” where she shows off her vocal range.
