Kameron Marlowe is continuing to prove his artistry with each new release, and “Tequila Talkin’” is no exception.
“Tequila Talkin’” is written by Marlowe, Ray Fulcher, and Dan Isbell. The flirty tune features Marlowe’s signature rock-infused, sultry voice with a smooth melody.
“I always get a little extra confidence from tequila, and the line was just really a way to meet girls at the bar” Marlowe joked about the light-hearted, upbeat tune in a press release. “We’ve gotten to play this one live a few times already and the reaction has felt so positive. I’m also such a sucker for a fiddle in a country song, so this is one of my favorite songs we’ve released so far.”
Marlowe has humble roots in North Carolina but never considered pursuing a music career until an agent from The Voice discovered him singing a Chris Stapleton cover song on YouTube and invited him to audition for the show. After making it onto Blake Shelton’s Team Blake and being stolen by Adam Levine and moved to Team Adam, Marlowe was ultimately eliminated in the live playoffs. Shortly after his return home, he started taking trips to Nashville to write songs.
His debut single, “Giving You Up”, was written and released independently by Marlowe and went on to be a massive success. It established him as a rising singer-songwriter worth your attention and landed him a record deal with SONY Nashville’s Columbia imprint. Since then, he’s gone on to release a self-titled EP and recently sold out a string of headlining shows in the Southeast and Las Vegas.
You can catch Marlowe on tour this Summer with Brad Paisley, kicking off on July 8th in Jacksonville, FL. Tickets and more info head to https://www.kameronmarlowe.com/.
