Luke Combs "Joe" Song Review

Superstar Luke Combs is at it again. The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year has released another new song titled "Joe." The release of this song comes in anticipation of his album Gettin' Old, which will be available on March 24th.

Combs is currently on the charts for his single "Going, Going, Gone," which might be reaching the No. 1 spot soon. The forthcoming album is meant to pair with his 2022 release, Growin' Up. Combs wanted to show the whole picture of his life, and where he is today. The singer-songwriter has already released "Love You Anyway," and "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old," which will be on the LP; he's also posted snippets of other songs that surely fans will love.

"Joe" has been teased previously by Combs. He has previously performed the track, leading many fans to want it to be included on an album. Now, those fans have their wish. The song carries what people love most about Combs: truth and simplicity. He always manages to draw listeners in and make them feel seen and heard.

Combs takes on the perspective and voice of a man named Joe. Combs has been hailed for his ability to speak to the common man, and that's what this new track encompasses gracefully. There is something sweet about the life Combs is singing about. His words bring a new appreciation for the little things in life. "I got a couple good buddies that all stop in / Say it's good to see you, brother man, how you been? / I can't complain, I'm doing alright, sleeping pretty good, staying dry."
