Alyssa Micaela’s newest single, “The Bar Guy," is not only bound to be a hit, but lucky for fans, it’s also the first release off of her upcoming album, The Hard Way which is slated for an April 28th release.
The just-released tune acts as the perfect first taste of Micaela's upcoming project. She shared on social media, "There's a reason the album is called 'The Hard Way.' Y'all learn from my mistakes and stay away from THE BAR GUY!"
From the moment Micaela starts singing, the listener will be captivated. The melody is catchy and extremely interesting. The line sung in the verse is slower but jumps around. In comparison, the chorus is pure, driving power on one main note. All of this, plus the twang accompanying the forceful yet harmonious quality of her voice, Alyssa Micaela has crafted the perfect individual sound for herself.

As a perfect way to end Women’s History Month, Micaela talks about being “Better than the bar guy," which is a very country way of saying that she realizes her own worth. Lines in the chorus like, “Who cares if he can hold his liquor / If he can’t handle a heart right” help show the journey she’s on as both a woman and as a musician. The unashamed and witty lyrics feature a sharp femininity that will empower Micaela's audience in the best way.
