Brian Kelley "American Spirit" Song Review

Brian Kelley has released the perfect song heading into the holiday weekend. "American Spirit" was released on Friday, July 1 after being teased during the week on his social media.

Kelley released his debut solo album Sunshine State Of Mind just last year, but has continued to pump out new music. The self-proclaimed beach cowboy is known for his laid-back style of country. Kelley writes and sings about what he knows best which comes from the heart. Every now and then he releases a track that stands out from the rest of the pack, and this new release feels even more special. “‘American Spirit’ is a tribute to my Poppy and Uncle Mike who both served, and to all of our service members and first responders who keep us safe and free – past, present, and future," said Kelley via a press release.

This song couldn't be better timed as the country is about to embark on a weekend celebrating the land of the free. Instead of singing about barbecue's, sunshine, and being out on the water, Kelley pays homage to the brave men and women who serve to keep our country free.

The song echoes the sacrifice so many have made and continue to make. He excliams, "You can try but you can't take it / Can't break this, American Spirit, that red, white and blue / It's flying for freedom, for me and for you." This song has all the makings of a timeless, patriotic anthem.
