This past weekend Brooke Eden surprised the packed house at The Grand Ole Opry when she invited Trisha Yearwood to sing alongside her. Singing “She’s In Love With The Boy” which was released 30 years ago this year, Yearwood took the stage and first congratulated Eden on her recent engagement to long-time girlfriend, Hilary Hoover, who works for her and her husband, Garth Brooks.
“We’ve got some pride going on this month, Love is Love, you can’t just say it you’ve gotta mean it…” Yearwood says in the iconic video below, “She’s in love with a girl, I’m in love with a boy, let’s just sing it for everybody.”
What a beautiful moment on the Opry stage. Congratulations again to Brooke Eden and join us in celebrating Pride Month by checking out our recent piece highlighting 7 LGBTQ+ country artists.
