Callista Clark is an artist on the rise, and now she has teamed up with Jimmie Allen in a big way. The two have released their collaboration "Wish You Wouldn't," and it's bound to be a contender for radio play.
Clark is fresh off of the release of her debut album, Real To Me: The Way I Feel, which came out last fall. Her debut hit "Cause I Am" introduced her as a young, emerging talent who wasn't afraid to show her personality. Her collaborative partner on this new song is one of country's most exciting voices. Allen has been releasing hit songs ever since "Best Shot" went to no. 1. Since then, he has earned three more no. 1 songs, became a CMA award winner, and is currently on tour with Carrie Underwood. Together, Clark and Allen both represent a fresh side of Nashville.
"Wish You Wouldn't" is a song from Clark's debut record, and is enhanced with the presence of Allen. The song is en example of pop-country done right. One also can't help but notice a R&B influence on the track as well. Their voices are interwoven with every line, making it a magical sound.

The song is about the push and pull between two people with an illustrious connection. Lyrics about knowing what's right but wanting to do the opposite have been done before in tis genre, but Clark and Allen make it feel fresh. "If I'm being honest I knew better, but I like the sound of me and you together, I should've listened when they said I'd get hurt." After just one listen, this song will remain imprinted on anyone who hears it.
