Ever since making a name for himself with his first album in 2015 Traveller, Chris Stapelton has definitely become a household name for country music listeners and non-listeners alike. Stapleton has a unique, warm, and raspy voice; he can make anything sound like an original. "Tennessee Whiskey," arguably one of his biggest hits, was originally by David Allan Coe. On November 11th, he released his cover of “I’m A Ram" which was done by Al Green.
Releasing this song was part of his huge week of Stapleton pairing with Ram Trucks. He partnered with the brand to make a one-of-a-kind truck called the “Traveller” just like his 2015 LP. The Kentucky native has always had a niche for cover songs. With “Tennessee Whiskey," “Nothing Else Matters,” and recently singing Darrell Scott's "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" with Patty Loveless at the 2022 CMA Awards, it only made sense to add this one to the repertoire, especially with the partnership.
This soulful song is brought to life with its guitars and trumpets in the original, but putting a more country twist on the tune, Stapleton has left out the original horn section and focuses on the vocals followed by guitars and drums.

The tribute song to the Ram Truck collaboration is a catchy song that now has a new life to it, thanks to Stapleton. This song will be blasting through any Ram Truck interior, and catching every listener's attention once they hear the tune.
