Country Artists Honor the Legacy of Naomi Judd
Naomi Judd, the mother to Ashley Judd and Wynonna Judd and one half of famed country duo The Judds, passed away after a battle with mental illness on Saturday, April 30th at 76 years old. Many country acts took to social media to honor Naomi Judd and her impact on the genre.
1. Carly Pearce
Singer-songwriter Carly Pearce took to social media to say, "She was a beacon of glamour, fun and keeping it real... Thanks for showing a Kentucky girl how to make dreams come true." Pearce also performed their song "Grandpa" at the Country Music Hall of Fame to honor the duo's accomplishments.
2. Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Ballerini posted a video of her singing an acoustic version of The Judds' infamous song, "Love Can Build a Bridge."
3. Tanya Tucker
Country legend Tanya Tucker posted a video of herself and Judd from 2018 with a sweet message to Judd's family.
4. Carrie Underwood
"Country music lost a true legend," is what Carrie Underwood shared with her followers on Twitter.
5. Ricky Skaggs
Ricky Skaggs, known for his country, bluegrass, and gospel music, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram as he stated it was "another sad day for country music." He stood onstage next to Wynonna and Ashley Judd as the sister duo was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
6. Reba McEntire
Country icon Reba McEntire shared a photo of her and Naomi from years ago with the caption, "We've been down the long road together. I sure miss my buddy. Rest In Peace. Finally."

Maren Morris took to Twitter to share her condolences.

Singer Clare Dunn shared a video of herself singing their song "Grandpa." In her caption she wrote, "you leave behind a legacy in the hearts of millions. thank you for recording songs about the simple things, and then some."

One of Sony Music's latest signees Karley Scott Collins was another artist who posted an acoustic cover to honor Naomi.
