Thanksgiving is here and there is so much to be thankful for. Country music is known for its storytelling and ability to pull at the heartstrings. There are endless songs that would be appropriate for this time of year, but here is a list of a few that might be playing on the stereo this holiday season.

1. “What I Have” by Kelsea Ballerini

Released just this year, Ballerini released this as a great reminder to be grateful for what we have. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and this song allows one to slow down and appreciate the small things. Legendary and a natural storyteller, Parton has a way of drawing her in with her fascinating life story. She has managed to stay humble over her long-stretching and extremely successful career. Always loving and caring, she reflects on her childhood and a special memory of her mother in this song.
