Day Drinking: Trying Kenny Chesney's Blue Chair Bay

Welcome back to our series called Day Drinking, where I taste test different alcohols made by country music stars. The second in this series is Kenny Chesney’s rum, Blue Chair Bay.
Chesney has poured his heart and soul into this rum. The rum is born and bred right at the waterline of the Caribbean. “There's something about the sunlight and the wind on the water that gets into the oak casks and into every drop of Blue Chair Bay," states the website. Blue Chair Bay is owned fully by Chesney himself. He works with masters of rum, like Mike Booth, in order to create this award-winning brand. The rum is made with sugarcane molasses, natural ingredients, and lots of care and craft.
Currently, there are 11 different flavors of rum: white, spiced, coconut, banana, vanilla, mocha cream, banana cream, pineapple cream, mango cream, key lime cream, and coconut spiced cream. I tried the banana cream rum, and here’s what I have to say about it:
As a huge fan of rum, this one takes the cake. At first taste, it has notes of sweet, caramelized bananas and vanilla. The banana cream rum has a fresh taste, almost like I’m sitting at the edge of the water. It is quite dangerous since I could honestly drink it alone as is. I’ve never been able to find a perfect rum until Blue Chair Bay. With 11 flavors, there are many ways of enjoyment. I decided to try a recipe from the website; therefore, I chose a peanut butter banana boozy smoothie. This recipe included banana cream rum, yogurt, peanut butter, and a frozen banana. An easy make turned into an excellent, go-to drink for any season. I prefer to enjoy the drink poolside since that’s what Chesney would suggest. Trust me, I will be buying Blue Chair Bay rum in every single flavor.
