Platinum-selling recording artist Dierks Bentley has a brand new single for fans to enjoy. "Gold" could be the start of a new chapter of music from the hitmaker.
He has proven time and time again there is no off button. While touring consistently since 2021, he earned another No. 1song with "Beers On Me" feat Hardy and Breland. The singer has not released a full-length album since 2018, so new music is always a welcome sign. Bentley is currently out on the road for the Beers On Me Tour.
"Gold" came as a surprise to most fans. Those who are part of his fan club received the song ahead of time. It has the ability to hook you in from the first chord. There's a traditional feel to the song, especially during the chorus. The guitar riff aids the melody and picks up steam throughout the song.
Bentley always releases music that is authentic to him, and "Gold"is no exception. The track is about finding the beauty in what may seem like ordinary things. "You finally find that greener grass / But you're still in the weeds / Ain't it crazy, all the time that you spend / Drivin' through the rainbow for the pot at the end." It's refreshing to hear that someone of Bentley's stature sings about finding the deeper meaning to life.
