Dustin Lynch and MacKenzie Porter Perform on Good Morning America
Dustin Lynch and MacKenzie Porter brought their six-week #1 single “Thinking ‘Bout You” to ABC’s Good Morning America along with a very special announcement from Lynch.
Before the performance, the Broken Bow Records star joins Michael Strahan from Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa Fest for a short interview. The highlight of the interview was the exciting announcement that his fifth studio album, Blue In The Sky, is available for pre-order now and is slated for release on February 11, 2022. The new album is a 12-song project that the singer describes as “a collection of songs that are going to make you feel good and want to mix a drink and party with your friends.” The LP also features collaborations with Chris Lane and Riley Green, along with the aforementioned, “Thinking ‘Bout You.”
The performance started with Lynch singing in front of a starry night sky backdrop with Porter beside him. It began mellow, but the performance heated up by the first chorus. Both singers bring the passion of the lyrics into the performance and show an amazing level of stage chemistry, especially when they sing face-to-face throughout the song. They both sounded amazing vocally and harmonized perfectly together. The show-stopping moment was Porter belting a high note at the beginning of the last chorus when she displays her versatility as a vocalist and showcases the irreplaceable energy she brings to the track. Fans have a lot to be excited about over the next few months with the release of Blue In The Sky, a big tour announcement on the horizon from Lynch, and Porter joining Walker Hayes on the ‘Fancy Like Tour.’
