Five Incredible Country Covers by Reyna Roberts

24-year-old Reyna Roberts has been embellishing Tiktok’s “For You Page” because of her fashionable takes on country music’s biggest hits. Social media has been the catalyst of Roberts’ career as she habitually positions herself behind a piano whipping sky-high notes. The 2021 CMT Next Women of Country and The Boot’s 2021 Artists to Watch list member has released music of her own crowning self-confident, country-rock chant “Raised Right,” midwestern conventional “Stompin’Grounds” and sultry “67 (Winchester);” an ode to fictional character Dean Winchester from CW’s hit TV show Supernatural.

Here are our favorite covers that Roberts has shared with us:

1. “Consider Me Gone” – Reba McEntire

Roberts posted her rendition of “Consider Me Gone,” written by Steve Diamond and Marv Green, back in October of 2021. This isn’t the only McEntire cover that Roberts crushed. The “Raised Right” singer also covered “Fancy” which garnered the attention of McEntire herself who released her version of Bobby Gentry’s original back in 1991. McEntire commented on her post, “You go, girl! Fancy would be proud.”

Roberts will be opening up REBA: LIVE IN CONCERT at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 17th, the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois on March 18th, and at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on March 19th.

I’m so excited!! ❤️ See you on the road, @reba! 🎉 #reba #considermegone #countrymusic #rebamcentire

2. “God’s Country” – Blake Shelton

The singer-songwriter put her on a spin on Shelton’s “God Country” nailing high notes that she added into her rendition. Roberts changed the style of the song by stripping it down on piano whereas the original is pumped with strings and heavier instrumentation.

Hey Blake, can you hit this high note? ☺️ @blakeshelton #foryoupage #fyp #countrytiktok

3. “Beer Never Broke My Heart” – Luke Combs

Roberts has been a fan of Luke Combs for a while now. In 2021, she named “Beer Never Broke My Heart” her favorite song of the year. She belts out the chorus acapella style and even caught Bud Light’s attention. The singer told the ACM Awards, “Luke Combs is amazing and so incredibly talented. I love this song so much because of the importance that it holds and the impact it’s had on me as an artist. I actually performed with Luke on CMT earlier this year and it was my first time performing with another artist. He’s seriously one of a kind.”

4. “Cold” – Chris Stapleton

The Anchorage native has always acknowledged Stapleton as a musical inspiration. This video also finds Roberts playing the piano and she belts out Stapleton’s painful lyricism. The songstress has stated previously that “Sometimes I Cry” is one of her favorite Stapleton songs.

5. “Drinking Alone” – Carrie Underwood

One of Roberts’ signature Tiktok moves it to sit down at the piano and play acoustically, and that is exactly what she did for Carrie Underwood’s “Drinking Alone.” The songsmith blended sultry and sweet, her mellifluous vocal offerings, and everything in between. The cover even got Underwood’s approval. Mickey Guyton retweeted it on her Twitter page as well.
