Jordan Davis "Part Of It" Song Review

Fresh off of his CMA Award for Song of the Year with "Buy Dirt," Jordan Davis has a new track for his fans to enjoy. This is shaping up to be a good week for the singer-songwriter from Louisiana.

Davis has been releasing a steady string of songs since the summertime. "What My World Spins Around" is currently climbing the charts. "Next Thing You Know" is also making quite an impact on TikTok. These releases from Davis have shown that he enjoys singing about what he holds most dear: family and life's great adventures. Only time will tell if he has another album up his sleeve.

"Part Of It" is steeped in nostalgia and self-awareness. Davis sings about the lessons learned from the highs and lows of life, much like his hit "Buy Dirt." He acknowledges that one has to take the good with the bad, the bad being part of the experience. He sings, "Sometimes you're gonna hurt like hell / And have some scars from it / Leave you with a story to tell / Ya live and learn and good ones go / You find out on down the road / And when you lay it all out and get down to the heart of it / Man, that's just life and that's all part of it."

Davis soars through each line of this song as effortlessly as ever. This new release represents the growth he has achieved not just as an artist, but as a man. Stylistically, the song feels airy and melodic. Davis has always had a voice that sounds like he could sing anything.
