Singer-songwriter Jordan Davis surprised fans by releasing his new song "What My World Spins Around." Could this be the beginning of more new music?
It's been a year since Davis released his latest EP Buy Dirt. The title track from that project, which features Luke Bryan, went all the way to No. 1 on country radio. That song also earned Davis and Bryan CMA and ACM nominations. A few months back, the singer teamed up with duo Seaforth for the feel-good song "Good Beer." Davis just wrapped up his 'Buy Dirt Tour' with openers Tenille Arts and Hailey Whitters, but he will be opening for Luke Combs on 'The Middle of Somewhere Tour' this fall.
"What My World Spins Around" feels like a trip back home. Davis' music has always felt authentic to who he is, but there is something special about this particular song. Davis points out all of the things he loves while admitting that nothing compares to what he loves most: his wife. The sound reflects more of the down-home country style that Davis has often incorporated into his mainstream hits.

The proud Louisiana native also shows more of his roots on this track than in recent memory. "I Love a slowdown, in a beach town, with an ocean view, and I love a first fall, Saturday trip to Baton Rouge." Davis is able to take his favorite simplicities and realize that the love he feels for the woman in his life means much more to him. This song could be a contender for the country song of the summer.
