Kacey Musgraves Announces ‘Star-Crossed’ & Teases New Song
After her album, Golden Hour took home the GRAMMY for Album of the Year, fans of Kacey Musgraves finally started feeling like the rest of the world began to take notice. From her debut single “Merry Go Round” to her prolific song “Rainbow” – Musgraves has cemented her stardom in pop culture history.
Announced yesterday, her long-anticipated fourth studio album. Star-Crossed finally has a release date – September 10th. Musgraves and her fellow singer-songwriter husband Ruston Kelley went through a divorce last year, and since then, she has found love with someone new.
Celebrating her birthday today, (August 21st) Musgraves posted a series of Instagram posts with lyrics to a new song:
“Let me set the scene / two lovers ripped right at the seams / they woke up from the perfect dream, and then the darkness came. I signed the papers yesterday / you came and took your things away moved out of the home we made and gave you back your name / What have we done, did we fly too high just to get burned by the sun / No one’s to blame ’cause we called all the angels to save us, called them by name, it I guess they got lost…”
If these heartfelt lyrics are any kind of preface of what is to come – this entire album is going to be absolutely remarkable.
