Lauren O'Brien "Weak Days" Song Review

Lauren O’Brien just released her newest single “Weak Days," the first of many this year. Originally from Philadelphia, the rising artist spends most of her time writing and recording in Nashville. In O’Brien’s latest Instagram post about the release, she stated, “Some people might dream of a #1 song or selling out a stadium, but just being able to create music and share it with the world fills my soul. It’s just the beginning of my journey, but the road is always glistening.”

This humble star-on-the-rise is happy to share her music with anyone who sticks around to listen. A soft guitar kicks this piece off followed by O’Brien’s gentle voice. Right off the bat, listeners will be taken aback by the calmness of this single. Not many country songs can keep it as simple as “Weak Days” can.

This easy-going song is a gentle reminder to love others even on the weakest of days. Her lyrics stay true to the message: “All the times I’m feeling low / Will you help me glow? / Cause the sun won’t shine forever / I want to know if you can / Love me on the weekdays / And love me on my weak days” O’Brien’s strong message and soft voice make “Weak Days” an incredible, seamless-sounding song.
