Little Big Town "All Summer" Song Review

Little Big Town surprised many by releasing a brand new song aptly titled "All Summer." For a band that has accomplished so much, they seem to have created a contender for the song of the season.

The band, comprising of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook, recently wrapped up 'The Bandwagon Tour' with Miranda Lambert. Perhaps a dream come true for the group, they are currently on tour with The Eagles for their slate of European shows. The band's sound has ranged from the classic style of country to incorporating rock and pop influences. Prior to this new single, the Grammy-winning group released the spirited "Hell Yeah," so maybe a new album is on the horizon?

"All Summer" reflects the band's current style so well. It has the groovy 1970's sound which best suits their harmonies. Fairchild's leading vocals make the song feel sultry and great for listening to in the summer heat. If a movie soundtrack about summer love needed a song, this would be it.

About soaking in the sun and enjoying life to the fullest, this song fits quite nicely into their discography. The lyrics detail being interested in a summer fling as it feels more hopeful about any possibility. "I'll let you buy my drink / Let you in on every thought I think / And baby I admit I don't get like this / Spmethin' bout your lips / I don't know what this is." This flirty, sunny track will only get fans more excited about what more the band has up their sleeve.
