Little Big Town "Rich Man" Song Review

Little Big Town surprised their fans by releasing a brand new song titled "Rich Man." The reflective track is a pre-curser for their forthcoming album Mr. Sun due September 16th.

The story of this track was a decade in the making. Band member Jimi Westbrook He began working around the concept idea but never sitting down to finish it. Once the band began the creative process for a new album, Westbrook knew his idea had found its home. “‘Rich Man’ has a special place in my heart, and it feels like the most honest me song I’ve ever written. It is about my love of family and their role in laying the foundation that anchors me," shared Westbrook in a press release.

"Rich Man" has an acoustic feel that allows the band's signature harmony to truly shine. As Westbrook shared, there are more important things in life than the trivial problems that often plague people's minds. As long as one has their loved one around them, there can be happiness found.

"Yeah, I'm a rich man, without a lick of money / A better than blessed man has all I ever wanted / I got everything I need." The simplicity of the production centers on the truth of the lyrics. The band enjoys singing from the heart so that their fans feels they know them. That is just one of the many reasons their new album is sure to become a timeless project.
