Luke Bryan, Caylee Hammack & Dylan Scott On Tour

This past weekend, Luke Bryan brought his Proud To Be Right Here Tour to Northwell Health at Jones Beach on Long Island, and as the saltwater breeze swirled around the venue, the diehard country fans filled the amphitheater early for an unforgettable night of country hits and even a few surprises.

Universal Music Group’s Caylee Hammack opened up the show by showcasing her remarkable vocal range, sassy personality, and fierce songwriting. Kicking off her set with “Redhead” if you weren’t already a fan, you were instantly drawn into her storytelling. Hammack burst onto the scene recently with “Family Tree” and “Preciatcha” but also performed her achingly painful ballad “Small Town Hypocrite”. Covering songs from the Eagles and Eric Church, her versatility and talent shined brightly throughout her entire opening set.

Dylan Scott

Up next, Dylan Scott took the stage by taking it way back to his top five hit, “Hooked”. He was explosive from the moment he stepped out in front of the crowd. Performing tracks like “Nothing To Do Town”, and “Beer Buddies”. He even gave the crowd an unreleased track, “Static” to fall in love with. Watch an exclusive clip here.

He included some crowd anticipation by mashing up a bunch of 90s hits such as “Fishin’ In The Dark” and “Dust On The Bottle” and even slowed things down by sitting at the piano to mash up the Eagles “Desperado” with his love song “Nobody”. He closed out his set by performing his current radio single “New Truck” which will be included on his forthcoming LP as well as his first hit “My Girl”. Fans crowded the stage to see him perform and it was clear that he was having an absolute blast being out in front of a real audience again.

If you have ever seen Luke Bryan perform you can certainly expect two things – 1. A slew of hits back to back to back and 2. A lot of hilarious banter mixed in with his signature hip rolls. Bryan has been a number one performing artist for over a decade, continuing to release hit albums and garner fans all over the world. He bounces between classics like “That’s My Kinda Night”, “Rain Is A Good Thing”, and “Crash My Party” and sprinkles in plenty of new songs like his current single “Waves”, “Down To One”, and “Knockin’ Boots”. His pride in his genre, the country way of living, and letting go and having a good time was apparent throughout the night. He continuously offered the audience cans of his Two Lane Beer, toted a GIANT margarita for “One Margarita”, and sounded incredible on his ballads like “Roller Coaster”, and “Drink A Beer”.

“I’m so happy to be back on stage singing in front of real, live, human beings okay?” he expressed to the crowd. He invites Caylee Hammack and Dylan Scott back to the stage for an epic version of “All My Friends Say”, one of Bryan’s earliest singles. The three performers danced around, grabbing hats from the audience, high-fiving fans, and just genuinely having a fantastic and hilarious time. It was infectious to watch, and as a fan and a journalist in the audience, I could not help but smile and be grateful that live music had finally returned. He surprised New Yorkers by bringing Jordan Davis to the stage to sing his current single “Buy Dirt” which Luke is featured on. Of course, closing out the night with two of his biggest high-energy songs “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” and “I Don’t Want This Night To End”, Bryan continues to prove his stayability in a genre that is ever-changing. The Proud To Be Right Here Tour brings plenty of energy from start to finish, you’d be remiss to not catch the show if it hits your city next. For full tour dates click here.
