Luke Bryan "Country On" Song Review

The famed singer-songwriter, Luke Bryan, released his newest single, “Country On,” today. Similar to his other chart-topping songs, “Country On” has the artistic lyrics that Bryan is known for. This is no surprise considering his long career writing songs for big names such as Travis Tritt and Billy Currington.

The song is an encouragement of the traditional way of life in the south, hardworking with just the right amount of laidback. Its positive outlook on the life of a country boy or girl is refreshing as he states, “Hey cowboy, keep slingin' that rope / Eatin' that dirt, wearing that gold / Break a leg rodeo, but just don't break no bones.” Bryan speaks to more than just his own experience, making it universal for his audience.

He continues with his signature sound: perfect for dancing and singing along to. Once again, Bryan has written the perfect song to play at a tailgate or barbecue while partying with friends. “Hey barkeep, how 'bout another round? / Keep the neon lit in this crazy town / Just pour a little more.” It’s a great addition to any country playlist, especially for the summertime.

The star has won numerous awards for his music, opened a record label, and written songs for multiple great artists. In addition, with dozens of shows left in his new national tour, Bryan has a lot on his plate, but he is still releasing phenomenal music to hold his audiences over until he comes to a city near them.
