Madeline Consoer "Little Miss" Song Review

Emerging singer Madeline Consoer has released a new song titled "Little Miss." The song comes in anticipation of her forthcoming EP of the same name available on December 16th.

The Wisconsin native burst onto the scene with help from the NBC show The Voice. Consoer competed in season 19 as a part of team Kelly (Clarkson.) She also released a cover of Maddie & Tae's "Die From A Broken Heart" that garnered over two million views on TikTok. The rising artist has now released original music, most notably the songs "Wish You Away" and "How Do I Not." It's clear that Consoer displays no sign of slowing things down.

"Little Miss" is a song that can stop anyone in their tracks. The opening guitar riff catapults the listener into a country-rock dream. It's clear that Consoer wants to make an impact through both the production and the lyrics. In anticipation of the official release, the singer-songwriter posted on her Instagram, "I WROTE MY FIRST DISS TRACK," and it certainly has a snarky bite to it.

In this track, Consoer confronts someone she deems as being "two-faced." Everyone desires to hear the truth from the people around them. She sings, "You've been twisting my words like a politician / You've been running that mouth, heard you've been dragging me down like you're on a mission." Music can say what people are too afraid to say in real life. That is what makes these upfront and direct lyrics so special.
