Morgan Wade "The Night (Part 2)" Song Review

Following the release of “The Night," Morgan Wade continues her story with “The Night (Part 2)." She is known for sharing her raw and honest truth through her music, and this song carries that forward.

Wade has not been shy about her struggles with addiction and does a beautiful job of sharing her journey of sobriety. She is honest about the struggles on the side of being sober as well, which seems to typically be a less discussed topic. This has allowed her a chance to connect with her listeners in a different way and create an open conversation about the different struggles of addiction. She bares her heart by singing, “And I’m mighty proud of where I’m at / But I’m one bad day from falling back / And I’m one bad day from relapse / And I’m gon’ find myself right back in rehab, yeah." Wade had the opportunity to work with Grammy nominee director P.R. Brown to release music videos for both “The Night” and “The Night (Part 2) that add a visual to the already emotional songs.

Being honest with all of the struggles of life makes an artist much more relatable, which Wade has a unique talent for being able to do. Not only are her songs expertly written, but one can hear the emotion and passion in her voice. The combination of these two talents creates an ongoing project that is not only easy for her to build on, but also draws people in for the journey.

This has been a busy year for Wade, to say the least. She has spent most of the year touring with Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Brooks & Dunn, and more. She will be heading on her own tour, 'NO SIGNS OF SLOWING DOWN TOUR,' at the start of 2023. The demand is high, with her already needing to add more dates and change to larger venues. Be sure to keep an eye out for new music, as she is just getting started and ramping up from here.
