Morgan Wallen Placed on Vocal Rest Due to Damaged Vocal Chords

Morgan Wallen fans have more breaking news to react to. The singer announced on his Instagram that after seeking treatment at Vanderbilt Medical Center, he is under a doctor's order to go on six weeks of vocal rest. He was diagnosed with vocal fold trauma.

The news comes just a few weeks after canceling his concert at Ole Miss due to losing his voice. As many will remember, Wallen canceled the show just minutes before he was set to perform. He went on to cancel the following weekend’s shows as well. Wallen went on to perform his slate of Florida concerts this past weekend.

The "Last Night" singer also revealed he won't be attending the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards and will be pulling out of the accompanying ACM Lifting Lives charity event. The event dubbed Morgan Wallen & Friends was set to feature HARDY, Lainey Wilson, ERNEST, and Bailey Zimmerman. The event has already been sold out.

Wallen said he'll work to reschedule the tour dates he will be missing during the six-week period. Those rescheduled dates will be announced at a later date.
