Marissa Turk is a day-to-day manager at SMACK, a Nashville-based music publishing, management, and artist development company, and the founder of SMACKTok which connects fans directly to artists through social media platforms.

Turk tells us about her journey into music, not having a clear-cut idea of where she would hope to land but how she quickly realized after interning with SMACK one summer and meeting Walker Hayes that she fit perfectly in with the management world. She discusses the integrity and character traits of Walker Hayes and the way that TikTok has changed the game for so many artists.
