On The Verge: 4 New Country Releases

As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.

1. Outlaw Love by Brooke Eden

Eden is an undeniable talent and a rising star in country music. Her new EP looks to captivate even more of a wider audience. Every song has ear-catching melodies and hooks to jam to. Eden's voice narrates stories about love, love lost, and finding one's true self. Not only is her music inspiring, but she is also an inspiration to the next generation of artists.

2. Middle Of God Knows Where by Noah Thompson

The American Idol alum has released his debut EP. Looking back at his time on the competition show to hearing his new music, it's evident there has been artistic growth. Thompson's voice sounds clear and smooth on every song on the project. There is bound to be a song on there for everyone to gravitate to.

3. "River" by Lauren Weintraub

Weintraub has released fiery songs before, but this one certainly stands out. Her lyricism always feels fresh and contemporary. On this track, she is embodying the "cry me a river" phrase in full. The song is unapologetic and empowering. For anyone feeling sad over a breakup, this song can lift the spirit.

4. "Summer Rain" by Parker Graye

The singer-songwriter has a way of evoking plenty of emotion in her songs. Graye has an authentic way of communicating thoughts and feelings that so many can relate to. The song is for all of the lost hearts out there. Whether someone is the heartbreaker or the one being hurt, it cuts in all directions.
