Parker McCollum "I Ain't Going Nowhere" Song Review

Parker McCollum has been swooning country audiences with his vocal acrobatics since his first No. 1 hit “Pretty Heart” released in 2020. You may also know him from his earlier work, including fan favorites like “Hell of a Year." McCollum seems to have only grown his skills and is not afraid to show them off. “I Ain’t Going Nowhere” is McCollum’s first release of the new year and has a refreshing harmonic sound.

The Texas-born star takes on a new, melodic approach with his latest single. The combination of strong lyrics that resonate on an emotional level, and an angelic sound only tugs the heartstrings more. Any McCollum song is sure to be easy on the ears, but possibly none as catchy as his latest release.

The song is a profession of both love, and a willingness to change for it. McCollum exclaims, “Million miles keep calling my name / With a million people all lookin' the same / There's an empty seat on every airplane / I ain't going nowhere." McCollum has found a love strong enough to separate him from his ways as a rolling stone.

With a catchy hook, heavenly sound, and upbeat chorus, McCollum does something different with his latest release and hits it out of the park. This combination of faster beats while maintaining a full country sound is exactly the evolution fans of McCollum love to see.
