Rob Williford "Like I Do" Song Review

From traveling the world with Luke Combs playing guitar and co-writing three of his songs, Rob Williford has just released his introductory single, “Like I Do.”

Branching out and making his own music is a big step for Williford and he recently signed with Warner Chappell and Edgehill Music for a global publishing deal. He shared on his Instagram, "Ever since I moved to Nashville, I've always wanted to write songs, but about 5-6 years ago, I started tossing around the idea of doing an album... not for any other reason than just the experience of saying I did it and giving life to a few tunes that followed me around over the years that otherwise go unheard." "Like I Do" is the first step Williford's taking to achieve that goal.

“Like I Do” is a song that will have listeners on their feet and ready to belt along with. The track details thinking you're a better fit for someone than the person they are currently with. The hard drum beats and electric guitars paired with his heartfelt lyrics help get the point across; its catchy nature is caught almost immediately.

His lyrics have a simple, relatable nature to them. Anyone who has ever felt head over heels in love with someone can understand Williford as he sings passionately, “If he loved you like I do, maybe if you only knew / Oh, oh how it feels just to be me for one night / Head spinning, heart pounding, whole world turning upside down / And I know I sound crazy but girl you'd be crazy too if he loved you like I do.”
