Ryan Griffin “Salt, Lime, & Tequila” Song Review

Independent recording artist Ryan Griffin released the perfect Summer anthem “Salt, Lime & Tequila”. Listen and learn more about the track here.

“Salt, Lime & Tequila” was co-written by Griffin with Jason Massey and Ava Suppelsa. Griffin is known for co-writing Kelsea Ballerini’s early-career hit “Dibs” and for his breakout single “Woulda Left Me Too” which amassed over 15 million streams on Spotify alone.

Griffin’s new release is the perfect track for summer. The instrumentation sets the perfect mood for a beachy country tune similar to a classic Jimmy Bufffet song. He uses a play on words with the classic line “Gotta take it all with a grain of salt…” after a laundry list of relatable and stressful anecdotes such as losing a Sunday game (presumably Football), working a double shift on a Mondays, etc. He continues to add a modern twist to his songwriting by revealing this is a drinking song when he opens the chorus with “lime, and tequila”.

The breezy new single first got popular on TikTok after Griffin teased the song and got over 3 million views. The single peaked at #3 on the iTunes charts.

Griffin found his passion for music early-on and started recording demos and touring with Neil McCoy and Highway 101 as a teenager. He’s spent his time on the road opening for artists such as Ballerini, Lady A and Old Dominion.
