Sam Hunt "Start Nowhere" Song Review

Singer Sam Hunt proved he had a lot to be thankful for over the Holiday break. Hunt released a new song titled "Start Nowhere" to share with the fans who mean so much to him.

Hunt has been releasing a steady stream of music in the last year. "Water Under The Bridge" reflected a sonically different side of Hunt. The track is currently heating up on the airwaves, something that usually comes with a new release from the hitmaker. "23" became a lasting hit song earlier this year as well. With these new songs, one can only hope a new album will be on the horizon.

"Start Nowhere" aims to take listeners on a journey back in time. Here, Hunt sings about understanding how where he started can make an impact on who he is now. Steeped in nostalgia, the song's lyrics showcase how Hunt needed to take a step back in order to move forward in life: "When I need to get back to who I am / There ain't but just one road there / Sometimes you gotta start nowhere."

The singer-songwriter has often opened up in his music. Whether he sings about lost love, friendship, or the need to come back home, Hunt never shies away from adding his own personal experiences. This new release offers an acoustic perspective on one's sense of identity. The small towns most of us come from never quite leave our minds.
