Savannah Burrows "Rum and Done" Song Review
Savannah Burrows is a Californian with country roots. She recently released her new song "Rum and Done" which comes just in time for summer. With dynamic songwriting and a voice to match, there is a lot on the horizon.
Burrows made the move to Nashville to pursue her dreams, just like every artist before her. The singer-songwriter has opened for artists like Carly Pearce, Devin Dawson, Sara Evans, Hunter Hayes, Diamond Rio, and more. She regularly plays at The Listening Room Cafe, Live Oak, The Basement, Broadway, and countless other venues all over Nashville. Burrows also won the 2022 Whiskey Jam Video Competition judged by Sam Hunt and Ward Guenther.
"Rum and Done" clearly makes a mark with a personal touch. As an artist from a state not particularly associated with the country genre, Burrows wants to help change that. "It's an ode to anyone who grew up by the coast but could use a little country," shared Burrows in a press release.
The easygoing melody gives off a sense of freedom; it's clear Burrows wants her listeners to have a good time. She exclaims, "I don't know 'bout you but I sure could use a little more spice / I don't turn no Jack D down / And when a cold one gets cracked open / Yeah I sure love the sound ."
