Songs I Grew Up On with James Barker Band

The James Barker Band are Canadian natives looking to continue their success internationally. They have four No. 1 singles in Canada on country radio since the band was formed in 2015. These guys pride themselves on writing lyrics that can connect with just about anyone. The band shared the songs they grew up on in order to offer up who they are inspired by.

1. "Livin' Part Of Life" by Eric Church

Barker said, "It's just a good ole country song about having a good time and living a good life."

2. "Guys Like Me" by Eric Church

The guys would listen to this a lot in high school and in college. Who doesn't love listening to Church?

3. "Give It Away" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Band member Connor Stephen said this was the song he learned to play the drums to. It's evident in their music that the rock genre inspires the band.

4. "3 AM" by Matchbox 20

Member Taylor Abram said that a Matchbox 20 concert was the first concert he ever went to. This song holds a special place in his heart for that reason.
