Colorado native and independent recording artist Spencer Crandall has teased the release of his forthcoming album this year. First and foremost though, he gave his devoted fans a taste with his new single on March 18th, 2022 titled “Red Flags.” Following his 2021 TikTok viral track, “Made," it's evident Crandall is dedicated to building his musical repertoire with consistent releases.
With the opening of light and sweet-sounding strings, the singer sets the tone that he wants to maintain with what he’s learned about love; it is clearly evident in the song's lyricism as he sings, “Don’t you dare tell me this time’s different / I don’t buy it baby we can’t fix this / I ain’t goin’ back to what we had / I took off my rose colored glasses / Now see your red flags.” This energetic new song was written by Crandall himself, Gus Ross and Luke Eisner. Together thy bounce off one another realizing that a toxic relationship is like calling a spade a spade. In a press release, Crandall explained the single stating, “Red Flags is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever created. It combines so many of my influences into this really fun, futuristic, western sound. I love that ‘Red Flags’ describes someone realizing their own worth and deciding to make the best decision for themselves.”
Real, vulnerable, and honest, it’s difficult to make what everyone would call your typical breakup and revengeful song have its own spunk these days, but Crandall does just that. The TikTok star is currently on tour with Lauren Alaina joining her 2022 Top of the World Tour Presented by Maurices which will complete its 21-city run in April.
