Taking a Look at Kenny Chesney's Hits

Today marks the 57th birthday of country music legend Kenny Chesney. This Knoxville native had a quick rise to fame due to his abilities as a songwriter, guitarist, and producer. Such abilities were ones that he was able to demonstrate ever since his debut album of In My Wildest Dreams, which was released back in 1994. Since then, Chesney has had 30 singles reach the number one spot on the Billboard country chart, and has even won a Grammy for his thought invoking and down to earth lyrics featured in his songs. Here are five hits by the artist.

1. Anything But Mine” from the album When the Sun Goes Down (2004)

“And there's so much that I long to do to you / But in the morning I'm leaving, making my way back to Cleveland / So tonight I hope that I will do just fine / And I don't see how you could ever be / Anything but mine.”

2. “Beautiful World” from the album Here and Now (2020)

“It's the blue sky days you don't wanna miss / Jukebox dances and girls to kiss / Keeps us all living for nights like this / It's a big old beautiful world.”

3. “Get Along” from the album Songs for the Saints (2018)

“Always give love the upper hand / Paint a wall, learn to dance / Call your mom, buy a boat / Drink a beer, sing a song / Make a friend, can't we all get along."

4.“No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” from the album No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems (2002)

“Want a towel or a chair, in the sand by the sea / Wanna look through my shades, and see you there with me / Wanna soak up life for a while, and lay back low / No boss, no clock, no stress, no dress code.

5. “Here and Now” from the album Here and Now (2020)

“Nowhere else in this world tonight / You and me, ain't it good to be alive / Ain't no better place, ain't no better time than / Here and now / Everybody's waitin', but they're waitin' on what / Better get to livin', 'cause all we've got is / Here and now.”
