Travis Denning not only released the brand new single "Buy A Girl A Drink," he also announced his forthcoming EP Might As Well Be Me will be available August 5th.
Denning shot to fame with his first No. 1 song "After A Few" from his debut EP Beer's Better Cold. He has since toured with the likes of Alan Jackson, Cole Swindell, and Dustin Lynch. Currently, he is out on the road with Dierks Bentley. His new EP will have six songs on it, including the previously released "She's On It." "Last year and my most recent EP were all about thankfulness, and being glad to have any live shows at all. This time a lot of that is behind us, and it’s like ‘Alright, let’s get to work.' Overall, I wanted this EP to feel like a setlist. And I wanted it to be a no skipper," said Denning per press release.
"Buy A Girl A Drink" has a more subdued, more confessional feel than other releases from the singer. The song is about how everything can start out as simple as buying someone a drink, before it blossoms into something serious. "Buy a girl a drink, talk to her all night / Call her three days later, kiss her in the porch light / Meet her mom and dad labor day weekend / Catch hell from your buddies 'cause you're in the deep end."

Denning's voice is so smooth that it makes the track feel like a conversation with a friend. Co-written by Denning with Jeremy Stover, Paul DiGiovanni and Chase McGill, the song sounds like a great contender for radio play. The message is simple yet Denning finds a way to make it feel unique to his artistry, and fans will appreciate the EP even more for that.
