Undiscovered: 5 Morgan Wallen Songs We Think You’ll Love

Since his first #1 song back in 2017, Morgan Wallen has been making an impact in country music. Known for his stage presence, wild personality, and honest lyrics, he has certainly made a name for himself. Wallen first appeared on The Voice in 2014 and went on to sign his first record deal in 2016. His latest album Dangerous: The Double Album spent 10 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. To celebrate his birthday today, we’re looking at 5 Morgan Wallen songs you may have missed.

1. “Quittin’ Time”

Wallen sings an honest take of realizing when a relationship has reached its end. The many comparisons and references to that idea include “when the credits roll,” “whistle blows,” and a “white flag.” Written by Eric Church, this heartfelt track is a stand-out on Wallen’s latest album.

“I can tell by the tears not in your eyes, it’s quittin’ time.”

2. “Spin You Around”

Off Wallen’s 2015 EP, this is an upbeat song about meeting someone so eye-catching that you have to try and talk to them. Those simple storylines are where Wallen’s writing truly shines. This catchy song would have made a great choice for country radio.

“Cause the way you stole my heart without a sign, girl it oughta be a crime.”

3. “Whatcha Know Bout That”

This track off of his debut album If I Know Me is another example of how growing up in east Tennessee has shaped Wallen. The plot of the song is that he is trying to prove just how “country” he can be to his love interest and if she can be the same way. Wallen sings with conviction and sass, just as he does best.

“Girl lucky for you I’m a two-lane tour guide. Mmm get your country boy heart breaker certified.”

4. “Stand Alone”

The title track off Wallen’s 2015 EP gives a different feel than his other songs. The piano throughout the song gives a powerful backdrop to his distinct voice. The track also has a touch of the traditional country sound. Truthful lyrics of realizing you have to “stand alone” following a break-up will resonate with everyone.

“If you don’t know by now, that you’re the one I love, clearly we were never meant to be.”

5. “Redneck Love Song”

Another memorable track off of his album If I Know Me, this song is Wallen’s version of the classic “if roses are red, violets are blue.” Wallen sings of his redneck background and how he feels he can show his love. It’s a sweet, witty, and charming song for everyone to love.

My tractor’s green, my pasture’s greener, my tea’s sweet but honey you’re sweeter.”
