Revisiting Five Heartfelt Keith Urban Songs

Where would country music be without our Australian sweetheart? That’s something we’d never want to know the answer to. Keith Urban had to drag us through heartbreak with “Blue Ain’t Your Color” and has worked with mutual legends such as Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and even P!nk. Today we celebrate him with five songs that tug on our heartstrings with ease.

1. “Without You” from the self-titled album Keith Urban (1991)

“The traveling, the singing, it don’t mean nothin’ without you / The fast cars, the guitars, they are all just second to / This life, this love that you and I have been building up so high / It’s never gonna touch the sky, without you.

2. “Raining On Sunday” from the album Golden Road (2002)

“Oh surrender is much sweeter / When we both let it go / Let the water wash our bodies clean / And love wash our souls / And pray that it’s raining on Sunday.”

3.“Tonight I Wanna Cry” from the album Be Here (2004)

“I’ve never been the kind to ever let my feelings show / And I thought that bein’ strong meant never losin’ your self-control / But I’m just drunk enough to let go of my pain / To hell with my pride, let it fall like rain / From my eyes / Tonight I wanna cry.”

4. “Once In A Lifetime” from the album Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Thing (2006)

“Don’t fear it now / I’ll never let you go / When you’re by my side / I know I’ve made it home / It’s a long way down / And it’s a leap of faith / But I’m never giving up / ‘Cause I know we got a once in a lifetime love.”

5. “That Could Still Be Us” from the album Ripcord (2016)

“And maybe I’m crazy / But I think that maybe / That could still be us / ‘Cause it still is sometimes at night when my eyes are shut / Wish I could say it don’t get to me but it does / And I know I probably think about you way too much / But that’s because / That could still be us.”
