Warren Zeiders Plays Sold Out Show in Home State
In a genre full of rising talent, Warren Zeiders proves to be an artist worthy of increased recognition. The singer, who hails from Hershey, PA, performed at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA on his 'Up To No Good Tour.' The venue, which has a capacity of 2,400, was his biggest tour stop to date. Fellow emerging artist Ben Burgess also proved to be the perfect opener for the show.
Burgess stepped onto the stage wearing an ensemble fit for a Texan cowboy. There are few artists that wear such humility on their sleeves as Burgess does. When he's not singing, he is cracking self-deprecating jokes to the audience. "I'm well aware most of you have no clue who I am, but I'm guessing you may know some songs I've written," said Burgess to the crowd. Burgess has writing credits on such hits as "Flower Shops" by ERNEST feat. Morgan Wallen, and "Whiskey Glasses" by Wallen. Burgess is also featured on "Outlaw" from Wallen's highly successful Dangerous: The Double Album. A segment of his set was dedicated to playing these songs.
"I sent this next song to Morgan. All I got was crickets, so I decided to put it on my album," exclaimed Burgess before performing "Kill A Man." Burgess' debut album Tears The Size Of Texas showcases his writing and vocals with a distinct style. He exudes the rough and tumbles stories he sings about.
The crowd was roaring by the time Zeiders stepped on stage. With his cowboy hat, plaid shirt, and a huge belt buckle for his jeans, Zeiders looked every bit of the performer's fans had flocked to see. His vocals proved even more dynamic in person - sounding exactly as he does on studio tracks. Zeiders performed his popular songs "One Hell Of An Angel" and "Ride The Lightning," along with other songs from his 717 Tapes: The Album. There were several moments Zeiders would stop and look over the crowd in amazement.
Zeiders had a special surprise for the sold-out crowd. "On the way over here from Columbus, I wrote this song to show my love for y'all being my largest show. This PA boy couldn't have done it without y'all," shared Zeiders. The song he wrote is titled "Pittsburgh Steel:" a love song that fans can only hope to be released officially one day.
