Carly Pearce "We Don't Fight Anymore" feat. Chris Stapleton Song Review

Carly Pearce is ready to embark on a new musical chapter. The singer-songwriter has teamed up with Chris Stapleton to release the new song, "We Don't Fight Anymore." Emotive lyrics and a shimmering harmony make this tune a standout release.

It was just a couple of months ago when Pearce celebrated her fourth number-one song "What He Didn't Do." That milestone closed the door on her impressive run for the album 29: Written In Stone. In that time, Pearce has risen to the top of the genre. Her ability to convey raw and honest messages helps her appeal to many. "We Don't Fight Anymore" undoubtedly carries that same feeling.

“This song embodies a place that I think, if we are honest with ourselves, we’ve all felt at some point in a relationship. The distance that feels heartbreaking, yet you’re also indifferent,” Pearce shared in a press release. The track details in a poetic way how two people have grown apart from one another. Every line captures the range of emotions that come with realizing that maybe it's time to walk away. "The only time we ever touch is in the hall / We talk about the weather if we talk at all / If your phone rings in the middle of the night / I don't even try to look to see who's calling."

The addition of a powerful vocalist like Stapleton gives the song something extra. "Having Chris Stapleton join me on this song was a dream come true and he unlocked an element to the story that I didn’t even know it needed," stated Pearce. He harmonizes on the chorus as if he and Pearce have sung together their whole careers. This song is just as unique as the creators behind it.
