On The Verge: 4 More New Country Releases

As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.

1. "Green Eyes Blue" by Randall King

King has gained recognition due to his distinctive vocals and cowboy charm. He evokes a sense of old, honky tonk country, which can be found on his new song. This is ballad about not wanting to bring down the one you love. King sings about wishing to make someone happy instead of feeling sad, which comes across in the most thoughtful of ways.

2. "Mystery Whiskey Woman" by Maggie Baugh

Baugh released an allusive and intriguing song, much like the title suggests. The song is slower in tempo deep in lyricism. She sings about seeing a woman at a bar choosing to drown her feelings. Everyone can relate to wanting forget about problems, but Baugh brings a third person perspective that breathes new life into the situation.

3. "Empty Shotgun (Mr. Mechanic)" by Dylan Marlowe

Marlowe delivered a song meant to strike a chord with lonely hearts. Memories can be ted to just about anything, including a car or truck. The singer-songwriter sings about wishing his broken heart could be fixed just as much as the truck he drives. The track suits his voice as well as continuing to showcase he has his eye on what his fans want to hear.

4. "Warning Label" by Grace Tyler

Tyler exudes power and sass on her new track. Sonically, the song has a vastly different style than what's currently out. She sings of all the reasons she might be too much to handle for some men out there. Tyler embraces all part of her personality and lifestyle, leaving no room to feel self conscious.
