As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
1. "I Just Killed A Man" by Catie Offerman
This Texan-born singer is on track to make a name for herself with the release of this new single. With a captivating title, it's easy to see why her talents have been touted around Nashville. It's refreshing to see such storytelling in a song. Offerman's vocals are illuminating, and make her a great new ambassador for the genre.
2. "That's Why We Fight" by Ella Langley and Koe Wetzel
Langley and Wetzel are two exciting newcomers, and now fans can see how they collaborate. The song echoes the back and forth between a couple who have strong emotions towards one another They seem to signal that fighting only equals passion and that fighting is better than a simple kind of love.
3. "Six Feet Deep" by Royale Lynn
Lynn delivers a song full of power and angst. there is an edgy quality to most of her music which allows her to stand out from her peers. This track in particular carries a large amount of rock. Lynn sings about being more of an outcast than someone who fits the general mold. Her message is eye-catching as well as being a tremendous song.
4. "King Of Country Music" Drew Parker ft. Mallory Parker
These two singers give their fans a subdued country song, fitting both of their individual sounds. It's a love song at its core. The melody is simple which allows for the lyrics to melt hearts everywhere. For those looking for a trip back in time to classic country, this could be that song.
