On The Verge: 4 More New Country Releases

As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.

1. "Breakin' In This Broken Heart" by Logan Crosby

Crosby has released a vulnerable and promising new song that his fans will surely love. He sings about trying to navigate everything that comes with a broken heart. When one is left feeling like they're at rock bottom, it's hard to see a path forward. Crosby is here to remind everyone that they have to start somewhere.

2. "I Hate Airplanes" by Alexandra Kay

Kay brings her unique style to a heartfelt new track. The singer-songwriter released a song about how it feels to be far away from the one you love. Constantly having to fly to see someone can leave one loathing the distance. Having been released on Memorial Day weekend, those in relationships with someone in the military can relate all too well.

3. "Ugly Houses" by Hannah Dasher

Dasher is a dynamic and exciting force in Nashville. She demonstrates her humor, charm, and talent in this new song. The song is self-deprecating as Dasher admits to feeling like a fixer-upper. There is real vulnerability in every line she sings. It sets her apart from all of her peers.

4. "Could've Been Boy" by Jillian Cardarelli

Cardarelli brings her soft and effortless vocals to her brand-new release. The song takes a reflective look at a past love. Whether they deserve a second chance or not, it's a relatable feeling to wonder what could've been. Cardarelli's sound is elevated on a track such as this.
