On The Verge" 4 New Country Releases

As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.

1. "Brain On Love" by Karley Scott Collins

Collins revealed she was inspired by an article where scientists proved that the chemicals in one's brain when in love are similar to when being on drugs. The obsessive thoughts and fixations are pretty much made to be written about. The singer-songwriter worked with award-winning producer Dan Huff to create a track that many fans can identify with.

2. "Come Get Your Memory" by Chase Matthew

Matthew continues to entice listeners with hooks and his country-rock sound. This is an electric song about feeling burnt by a breakup. When it's hard to get that person out of your head and their presence is felt everywhere, it makes moving on that much harder. Matthew sings with such emotion, one can only wonder how personal this song is to him.

3. "I Hate Texas" by Tanner Adell

Adell created a pop-country song worthy of attention. The singer belts out how and why she has hard feelings for the lone star state. Many can relate to associating places with bad memories. While Texas is a state steeped with appreciation in this genre, Adell offers a very different perspective.

4. "Home" by Logan Michael

Michael might surprise people with the deepness of his voice compared to his youthful look. That only works to his advantage, especially on an emotive song such as this one. Michael sings about wondering too far from who he is. Mistakes made and wrong paths taken, the lyrics show fear in wondering if he can get back on track. There lies real promise in honest writing like this.
