On The Verge: 4 New Country Releases

As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.

1. "Bout Damn Time" by Neon Union

The dynamic duo known as Neon Union delivered a good old-fashioned country song. Their voices, as always, create a harmonious sound that allows them to stand out from their peers. This new release instantly creates a feel-good atmosphere that would make anyone want to party. The duo continues to make their mark on a genre that could use more of their style.

2. "I Wish That I Could Tell You" by Gabrielle Grace

Grace released a subdued, acoustic track that allows for the writing to take center stage. This song is a confessional that comes straight from the heart. Everyone has things they wish they could've told someone, but it might be too late. By the time the chorus sounds, there is a melody that feels light and free.

3. "What Country's All About" by Andrew Sevener

This song is down-home country. Sevener sings about all the reasons why he loves being country, and how there is more than meets the eye. The lyrics allude to country music's deeper side: faith, family, and appreciation for what one has. His voice fits the song so perfectly, it's hard to imagine anyone else singing it.

4. Cryin With The Windows Down by Faren Rachels

Rachels' showcases the different sides of herself on this EP. With a voice so effortless and soft, each song sounds like a conversation with a friend. "Had To Be There" is about the low point of a breakup. The groovy "California Sober" further illustrates the artistry Rachels carries.
