As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
1. "you don't deserve a country song" by Alana Springsteen
Springsteen is always one to wear her heart on her sleeve. She curates her songs to be more like conversations with her friends rather than making songs for fans. This new release is no different. Springsteen sings about realizing she is much better off without someone weighing her down. There really is no point in being sad over someone who didn't deserve you, and this singer-songwriter proves that.
2. "Second Guessing" by Griffen Palmer
From the stage of NBC's Songland, this newcomer is bound for success. Palmer sings about how sweet finding love can be. "Now I don't spend one second, guessing," sings Palmer. His vocals feel light and easy, just like the style he seems to lean into. Palmer is on track to truly making a name for himself in Nashville with music like this.
3. "I'll Never" by Blanco Brown
The sounds of classic country music ring through Brown's latest single. His signature voice adds a soulful touch that's as pure as can be. This song radiates how good it feels to be in love, and want the other person to know just how much you care. Brown solidifies his place with this song, and more music should hopefully be coming soon.
4. "Shoot Tequila" by Tigirlily Gold
This sister duo is back with a brand new song, and it's an exciting one. The track is a high-energy anthem about forgetting one's problems. Their voices blend together as a true duo should, making them always a pleasure to listen to. As infectious as the song is, the official music video adds even more charm.
5. "Sympathy For The Devil" by Elvie Shane
Shane evokes a mysterious and edgy sound with his new release. From the very beginning, it's clear there is hardly music like this out right now. There are clear elements of rock, gospel, and even tribal sounds thanks to the drum beats. Shane demonstrates his artistry on this song as only he can.
6. "Runs In the Water" by Royale Lynn
Lynn brings authenticity and groove to her latest song. This track is a fiery testament to small-town living. The strength and determination Lynn sings about represent the hard work of everyday people. Her voice is as strong as ever, instantly captivating listeners. This track is surely made to be performed on a live stage.
7. "River Run" by Ian Munsick
The instrumentals alone are enough to draw fans in on this track. Munsick's voice sings a ballad fit for a cowboy. Instead of the man being a drifter, the woman is the one who runs through every town. This song is up-tempo with a stirring energy throughout. Munsick never fails to deliver special music such as this one.
