Top Country Grammy Awards Moments of Years Past

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards take place this Sunday, April 4th; it's a show all music lovers tune in to watch to see if their favorite artists take home one of the highest honors of the industry. In honor of the upcoming award show, we're taking a look at some of country music's best moments at the Grammys from years past.

1. Mickey Guyton Performs "Black Like Me"

This performance was only last year, but it had to make the list. Mickey Guyton not only looked stunning in her shiny gold dress, but she sounded incredible. Her vocals were perfect as she stood underneath a singular spotlight giving a minimalistic yet dramatic stage setup. The subtle steel guitar in the background and the choir heard from the second chorus on, only enhances the power of this performance.

2. Little Big Town Performs "Better Man"

Country group Little Big Town performed their hit song "Better Man" at the 60th Grammy Awards. The four-piece band is known for their harmonizations and this performance truly showcases that with emphasis on the standout vocal performance from Karen Fairchild.

3. Kacey Musgraves winning Country Album of the Year for Same Trailer Different Park

Kacey Musgraves looked truly shocked when she won Country Album of the Year at the 2014 ceremony. This was highly significant considering Same Trailer Different Park was her studio album debut and was at the very beginning of her career.

4. Dolly Parton Sings "Jolene" with Miley Cyrus

Dolly Parton was honored with a tribute at the 2019 Grammy Awards; part of that tribute included singing her hit classic "Jolene" with her goddaughter Miley Cyrus. Despite this performance being less serious, it was still a super fun moment.

5. Miranda Lambert Performs "Little Red Wagon"

With an evident flare of sass, Miranda Lambert stole the show with her performance of "Little Red Wagon" at the 57th Grammys. Her voice sounded fantastic with a hint of edge, and her all-black, eye-catching outfit only made the performance rock even harder.

6. Taylor Swift Wins Album of the Year for Fearless

There's nothing more endearing than this moment of a young Swift winning her first Album of the Year Award for Fearless in 2010. Swift jumped on stage in disbelief before thanking her family and fans.

7. Brandi Carlile Performs "The Joke"

This is arguably one of the best Grammy performances of all time. Carlile stunned the crowd with her huge vocals and moving vibrato. The stage was dimly lit which evoked a moody feeling and all of the attention was directed to Carlile, her vocal performance, and her brilliant songwriting.
