Emerging Country Artists, Class of 2022 – The Nash News

Here at The Nash News, we love supporting the best of the best of rising talent in Nashville. We’ve curated a list of 12 artists who are signed to record deals that we think are going to have a huge year next year! Don’t you want to say you loved them before they blew up?

Morgan Wade

This tattooed songstress has a unique style all her own and her debut album, Reckless helped to skyrocket her to the front of the pack and a name on everyone’s lips. The Virginia native will open for Luke Combs in 2022 on his three stadium tour dates, showcasing her special talent to a slew of brand new fans.

A gritty delivery with powerhouse vocals, Tyler Braden closed out 2021 with his debut project, What Do They Know and proved why he will be a staple on Warner Music Nashville’s roster for years to come. Braden blends soulful rock n roll with a country storytelling that is unmatched. He kicked off the WORST COUNTRY TOUR OF ALL TIME with Brantley Gilbert and will continue to garner more fans over the coming year.

Coming off an already incredible, establishing year, Tiera signed a record deal with Big Machine Label Group’s imprint, Valory Music Co., and celebrated marrying the love of her life. She’s already gained critical acclaim for her passionate songwriting and even hosts her own show on Apple Music.

Raw, honest songwriting and a voice that will give Chris Stapleton a run for his money – Larry Fleet is a newcomer on the scene signed to Big Loud Records. His debut album Stack of Records featured some of the most cohesive incredible storylines and really brought his true artistry to life. Fleet will tour with Morgan Wallen next year on his stadium tour, more info here.

Although a song she released this past year was called “Overnight Sensation” Lily Rose has certainly put her time in, grinding away in Nashville before her hit “Villian” went viral at the end of 2020. Since that moment, she has catapulted – signing a joint venture deal with Big Loud and Republic Records and releasing her debut project, Stronger Than I Am then following that up with three more incredible tracks and even getting engaged to her long time girlfriend. Her unique sound is what sets her apart and fans across the country are finally starting to take notice.

Conner Smith Picture this – rising country act Conner Smith releases a break up, heartwrenching song about hating Alabama just days before the iconic college football team loses to Texas A&M and breaks their 19 game winning streak. The momentous timing couldn’t have been better and neither is the song. By the time he was 6 years old he started writing songs and now, Smith is signed to Big Machine Label Group’s Valory Music Co and will tour with Ryan Hurd in 2022.

Another viral moment turned sensation, Priscilla Block is unapologetically herself when it comes to writing and releasing music. Universal Music Group signed Block and they have been steadily and consistently revealing great song after song throughout 2021. Her latest “Peaked In High School” is one of the most relatable songs that was dropped this year

Already a hit songwriter, Ray Fulcher has penned number one songs for Luke Combs and is currently garnering countless of new fans on the What You See Is What You Get Tour. He released an incredible project of music this past year called The Larkin Hill Mixes. His gentle delivery and impeccable ability to tell a story is what landed this Black River Records artist in our class of 2022.

With an outrageously funny, smart, and witty personality, Hannah Dasher has won the hearts of millions during the pandemic with her ‘Stand By Your Pan’ cooking tutorials and quickly followed up her undeniable charm with a brand new project, The Half Record, showing the world, yes, she can cook but Lordy can she sing!

Fate and Kane Brown may have brought them together but Zach, Colton, and Garrett who make up Restless Road have maintained their staying power and continue to wow fans with their beautiful harmonies and never-ending content. Releasing arguably one of the catchiest songs of 2021, “Bar Friends” catapulted the trio to new heights and you can catch them on their own tour starting in April of 2022.

One of Big Machine Label Group’s newest signees, Laci Kaye Booth may have started her rise to stardom on American Idol however with the release of her self-titled project earlier this year, this songstress’ delicate voice proves she’s primed for stardom.

Lainey Wilson

With a fiery personality and a voice to match, Lainey Wilson who opened for HARDY and Jason Aldean this past summer showed off her live talent and finally got to hear fans singing the words of her songs back to her. Her debut single, “What A Man Oughta Know” rose to the top of the country charts in 2021, and her entire album is filled with hidden gems.
